“I noticed you didn’t eat much today. Low blood sugar could lead to fainting. So, I got you some milk tea.”
His unexpected thoughtfulness left Stella a bit disconcerted.
“Take it,” Farris pressed, extending the bag towards her.
“Think of it as a small thank-you for agreeing to accompany me.”
At this juncture, Stella found it difficult to say no.
She expressed her thanks and accepted the milk tea. As she scrutinized his features, an inexplicable sense of familiarity washed over her.
Unable to hold back her curiosity, she asked, “Dr. Barnes, have we met before?”

“Get some rest.”
They bid each other farewell.
